Here's James' thoughts from day two:
Aloha! Here's the update on my first day. First, off let me explain what processes I'm doing. It's called peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) donation. For five days before the donation process, I receive shots of Filgrastim to move the PBSC cells out of my bone marrow and into my bloodstream.
The side affects of the shots and this can be different for everyone; including headaches, nausea, and body aches. The body aches feels like growing pains. That's if you can remember back that far. I can't, haha. For the headaches, just take some tylenol and drink water.
Now for my first day of shots. The shots went well. I feel normal no pain or headaches. I will be honest, my head felt weird. I think I was just overwhelmed about everything that's going on. I just think its sinking in more that I'm saving someone's life. It's starting now on how I look at life and I know for sure at the end of it all, I truly will look at life way differently. I'm just so blessed to help someone out this lady and her love ones.
Will keep you guys up to date on shot number 2. ALOHA
May God Bless you in this process... You n your family are in my prayers...
